This is an introductory training session about EDI for anyone in the VCSE sector in Newcastle and/or Gateshead. The session will be delivered online via Teams.
This training will enable participants to understand the meaning and purpose of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and make practical changes in your organisation to achieve better delivery of services. The focus is on beneficiaries and service delivery, but also touches on trustee and staff diversity.
Learning outcomes:
Through a combination of activities and discussion participants will:
- Reflect on your organisation's values, policies and practices
- Refresh on the legislation, protected characteristics and intersectionality that underpin EDI work
- Explore inequalities, biases, privilege and power
